What is your theme for 2012?

As part of the end-of-year reflection and start-the-year-right lectures that I’ve been holding with my private clients and team/groups in organizations, we get to the essence with a one or two-word theme for the coming year.

My 2012 theme is:  LADY WARRIOR.

It comes from looking back at the year.  Achievements.  Learning.  What’s next?  What resources are required?  How you’d like to be?

The theme is great to help to focus you on what you want.  How you’d like to be to reach your goals.  A reminder during the year.  A strategic post or mantra.

Below are the steps that can help you to come up with your theme:

  • Reflect on the past year.  Some questions to help you focus:
  • What are your proud of?  What breakthroughs did you have?  What would you like to CELEBRATE?!
  • What is your biggest learning? What are you disappointed in?  What would you like to acknowledge yourself for?
  • What’s next?  Priorities? Goals? Support required?
  • What will you call the next stage?  The year of ….  What will you be?  What will you stop doing?  What will you say YES to?!

Teams/groups focus on a common mission/goal by using a THEME that encompasses the next stage for them.  Helps to support the way forward for all!

Wishing a GREAT 2012 to you!  With fun, success and collaboration!
